Magnificent Bastard Seriously, if you liked the series on Comedy Central, then you'll like this. To be honest, I figured they'd screw this one up by trying to make a "movie" out of it, but the plot, while it does exist, is barely there, much like the "plots" in the series. It existed merely to set up the many skits . . . and that's why I watched Reno 911! in the first place, so that's a good thing.

If you've never seen the series, you probably won't enjoy this one. It's hard for me to guess that, but as someone who has seen all the episodes, I think it definitely was funnier if you knew the back story of the characters.

And for fans of the series, you'll be glad to know that yes indeed, we do get a visit from Nick Swardson as "Terry", skates and all, giving tug jobs on the beach. Patton Oswalt, another frequent guest of the series, also makes an appearance. Throw in several other decent cameos, and it's a fun game of "spot the star".

It's a decent effort from the crew, nothing special, but they didn't screw it up either. It was better than I expected, and honestly I don't know if it could have been better.
