The Bloody Hollies
This is the band The Strokes want to be!
Just when you thought the kids had forgotten about real rock and roll, along comes a band like The Bloody Hollies. These guys remember dirty, loud, brash, straight to the point Rock, and they play it well. They have s strong blues foundation, then they layer that with some punk, some garage, and a little bit of surf - and thank the Ape, they leave the glossy production out! It's raw, it's gritty, it ROCKS!There's nothing fancy here, but you can't stop listening to it. Seriously, you can't stop. Magnificent Bastard has spoken, you must listen.
I'm throwing out two clips for you, both live cuts. You should really go out and check out there other stuff, especially look for a track from their 2005 release If Footmen Tire You... called "Dirty Water".
